Prime Minister Narendra on Thursday (February 25) took a dig at the Congress, saying that the party is prone to lying and that he was shocked at Rahul Gandhi's "will make fisheries ministry" remark. "Congress has the policy of divide, lie and rule. They are gold, silver and bronze medal winners in telling lies," said the PM.

He said that Puducherry deserved a government that is commanded by the people of Puducherry and not a small group of Congress leaders sitting in Delhi. 

PM Modi is on a visit to Tamil Nadu and Puducherry to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of various development initiatives. He inaugurated JIPMER Blood Centre, Puducherry, and laid the foundation stone of JIPMER Karaikal Campus.

The PM laid the foundation stone for four-laning of NH45-A - 56 km Sattanathapuram - Nagapattinam package of Villupuram to Nagapattinam project covering Karaikal district in Puducherry.
